Stefon Diggs Injury
Diggs has been one of the best receivers in the league in his nine-year career, notching 9,646 receiving yards and 66 touchdowns. His production this season has started to decline after a hot start, but still ranks amongst the top receivers overall. Through the first nine weeks, he has amounted to 834 receiving yards and seven touchdowns and has been the top target for quarterback Josh Allen.
The receiver was a full participant in practice on Thursday but was limited today and put on the injury report with a back issue. We will not know the extent of his injury until tomorrow when we will find out his status for Monday Night Football. If he is sidelined or limited, receivers Trent Sherfield and Deonte Harty would be the guys trading reps in the receiving room, along with Gabe Davis and Khalil Shakir.
Buffalo is currently sitting at a 5-4 record and is in second place in the AFC East behind the Miami Dolphins. They will play host to the Broncos this week, who they should be able to handle rather easily. However, if Diggs is not in the lineup, it will affect the Bills’ offense and prevent receivers from opening up down the field.
As for Diggs, his official status is still unknown, but he should be able to go since we do not have further information on the injury. We will make sure to update you on his status as the weekend approaches, and whether he will miss any additional time or not.
