The Buffalo Bills sign a former rival’s running back
The Buffalo Bills have been in the AFC East free agency swap this offseason. They added a former divisional rival’s running back on Monday. The Bill signed former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Trent Sherfield early Monday. Signing a rival’s former players in free agency has been a trend for the AFC East this past week.
According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Bills are set to sign former Patriots running back Damien Harris to a one-year deal for the 2023 season. The report broke hours after the news that the Houston Texans were signing former Bills running back Devin Singletary.
Former Patriots’ RB Damien Harris reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, per source.

Harris was a former third-round selection in the 2019 draft by the Patriots. He will leave New England with 2,094 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns. Harris is average 4.7 yards per carry in his NFL career. He’ll be a great addition to the Bills backfield with the departure of Singletary this offseason.
