The Buffalo Bills to land a wide receiver in free agency
The Buffalo Bills have been shedding cap space like crazy over the past few weeks trying to clear room to sign players this offseason. They addressed a need at wide receiver on Wednesday after restructuring Stefon Diggs’ contract Tuesday. The Bills have lost some key members of the defense from last season, but they appear to be making gains to help out quarterback Josh Allen and the special teams unit in 2023.
According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Bills are set to sign a two-year deal with New Orleans Saints wide receiver Deonte Harty.
Former Saints’ WR Deonte Harty reached agreement on a two-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, per source. The speedy WR from Assumption University has found a new home in Western New York.

Harty is an undrafted free agent the New Orleans Saints initially signed in 2019. He’s considered a wide receiver and return specialist. Harty earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in his rookie season with the Saints.
Harty caught two passes for 13 yards last season and earned a 47.9 overall grade from Pro Football Focus. He’s been a return man for all four of his seasons in New Orleans. His best season as a returner was in 2019.
