The Kansas City Chiefs have caught multiple breaks to stay undefeated through their first nine games of the season. On Sunday, the Chiefs are set to face arguably their toughest test of the year. They caught another break on Friday.
The Chiefs are traveling to play the Buffalo Bills (8-2) at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. While Patrick Mahomes is 3-0 against the Bills in the postseason, Josh Allen owns a 3-1 record against Mahomes and the Chiefs in the regular season.
The Bills enter the Week 11 contest winners of five-straight games, including a 30-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. However, their winning streak could be in jeopardy with the injury list expanding.
The Kansas City Chiefs catch a break
Per the Bills injury report released Friday, tight end Dalton Kincaid (knee) and wide receiver Keon Coleman (wrist) have been ruled out against the Chiefs. Receiver Amari Cooper (wrist) is questionable to play Kansas City.
Coleman is the Bills’ second-leading receiver with 417 yards and three touchdowns in his rookie season. Kincaid is the Bills third-leading receiver with 356 yards and two touchdowns.
Cooper has played in two games since he was traded from the Cleveland Browns. He has four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown for the Bills.
The Buffalo Bills have depth issues at receiver
Allen will lack firepower against the Chiefs on Sunday. He’ll have to make use of his top target, Khalil Shakir, to get the passing offense rolling. Shakir has 48 receptions for 529 yards and two touchdowns in 2024.
The Chiefs got the better of the Bills in their last matchup in January. Kansas City won 27-24 at Highmark Stadium to proceed to the AFC Championship game.
