The Buffalo Bills are looking to remain as one of the relevant teams in the AFC and the NFL this season after losing some key pieces this offseason. With several key players on different teams in 2024 such as star receiver Stefon Diggs, the Bills are predicted to slightly decline this season. With teams finalizing their 53-man rosters before the regular season, Buffalo is doing the same, including their quarterback.
Buffalo Bills Release Quarterback
The Bills are releasing quarterback Anthony Brown to make room for their final roster before the start of the regular season. Brown is just one of many players from the team being cut, including wide receiver Damiere Byrd, linebacker Deion Jones, defensive end Rondell Bothroyd, and corner Kyron Brown.

Anthony Brown Career
Brown amounted to 126 passing yards in the 2024 preseason with no other statistics to show for, which is likely the reason for his release. He played in two games last season for the Baltimore Ravens, completing 22 out of 49 pass attempts for 302 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions.
The quarterback attended Boston College and the University of Oregon where he thrived. In his collegiate career, Brown put up 7,891 passing yards with 60 touchdowns and 27 interceptions. He was an undrafted free agent of the Ravens in 2022 despite his good numbers in college.
Will Any Team Pick Up Brown?
While it is unlikely any team brings him on their 53-man roster, Brown could serve as a good practice squad quarterback on any squad, and could possibly work his way to some playing time pending on injuries, which unfortunately are inevitable in the National Football League.
Do you think any teams will be interested in adding Brown to their roster, or will he remain a free agent who will possibly be signed later on in the year as the season progresses?
