The Buffalo Bills have their first preseason game coming up on Saturday night. They will take on the Chicago Bears, who already played in the Hall of Fame game. That game did not have either C.J. Stroud or Caleb Williams take a snap.
As a result, people are curious as to whether we will see star QB Josh Allen take a snap for the Bills in this game. This morning, we found out the answer to that question. Read below to find out more.
Josh Allen to Play One Quarter
According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen will play for one quarter in Saturday’s game against the Chicago Bears. He will join the majority of offensive starters for the Bills playing in this quarter.
Josh Allen may not be the only notable quarterback playing in this game. There is also wide speculation that we could be getting our first look at Chicago Bears rookie QB Caleb Williams on a professional playing field.
New Offense
Saturday’s game could also be the first opportunity we get to see what the Bills’ new offense looks like. That is because the Bills ended up trading star WR Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans this offseason. As a result, Josh Allen needs to find a new favorite target.
One player to potentially keep an eye on in Saturday’s game is WR Keon Coleman. That is because the Bills selected him in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. In fact, he was the first pick in the second round of that draft. Having come from Florida State, a team that finished undefeated in the regular season last year, there will certainly be some decent expectations for Coleman.
Buffalo Bills Moving Forward
The Bills’ offense will certainly look different in 2024 for the reasons mentioned above. Buffalo has won the AFC East for the last four years. However, they have failed to get past the AFC Championship during those four years, and only made the conference championship once.
Now, there is pressure on this team to see if they continue their impressive division title streak. They will have to hold off teams such as the rising Miami Dolphins along with the New York Jets, who are looking for redemption after a very disappointing 2023 season.
