The Buffalo Bills were able to lure two-time Super Bowl Champion Marquez Valdes Scantling to their team in free agency earlier this offseason. After being released by the Kansas City Chiefs, MVS was one of the more interesting names on the free agent market due to the quarterbacks he has played with during his career.
First drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2018 (in the fifth round), MVS spent the first four seasons of his career catching passes from future Hall of Famer and four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers. When Green Bay chose to allow him to leave in free agency following the 2021 season, he signed with the Chiefs and won two Super Bowls with Patrick Mahomes.
According to reports, Bills quarterback Josh Allen played a big role in convincing MVS to sign with Buffalo.
Buffalo Bills Wide Receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling Suffered a Scary Injury on Saturday Night
The Bills played the Pittsburgh Steelers in an NFL preseason game on Saturday night, winning by a score of 9-3. Unfortunately, several players had to leave the contest due to injury. MVS suffered a particularly scary injury that left him down on the field for several minutes:

As Andy Young notes in the Tweet above, MVS was able to walk off the field. However, he was taken to the locker room in a cart afterwards.
It was later announced that he had suffered a neck injury, but the extent of the injury was not known.
The Buffalo Bills Get Good News on the MVS Injury
Earlier this afternoon, NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported that MVS had suffered a neck sprain. X-rays revealed no broken vertebrae:

This certainly good news for the Bills, though the exact timetable for MVS’ return is not yet known.
The speedy wide receiver may not have put up big numbers in his previous NFL stops, but he can stretch the field and open up opportunities for other pass catchers.
MVS has also developed a reputation as a big game wide receiver. In the 2020 NFC Championship Game, which the Packers lost to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, MVS had four receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown.
In the 2022 AFC title game the Chiefs won against the Cincinnati Bengals, MVS had six receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown.
MVS also scored a crucial touchdown in Kansas City’s most recent Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers.
