Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen recently appeared on Kyle Brandt’s basement YouTube show. Josh Allen complimented the Kansas City Chiefs for winning the Superbowl. Allen said, “To be the best you have to beat the best.” Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills have come up short in recent seasons and Allen is hungry for a Superbowl title. Allen skipped Superbowl week because he didn’t want to be reminded of Buffalo’s failure to reach the big game.

The Buffalo Bills are looking for gold. The gold is a Superbowl trophy. Bills coaches, players, and General Manager Brandon Beane have commented on their hunger for a Superbowl. Beane said when you don’t win the Superbowl your season is considered a failure. Bill’s mafia wants to experience winning a Superbowl and being called the best team in the NFL.

    Buffalo Bills Recent Playoff History

Buffalo has made the playoffs each of the last four seasons. Buffalo has also won the AFC East for the past three seasons. Buffalo suffered a 27-10 loss to the Bengals in the 2022-23 playoffs. Buffalo lost a wild playoff match to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022. Buffalo lost to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game in 2021. The playoffs have been a nightmare for Bills mafia. Buffalo has had the talent to win a championship but have come up short. Diehard Bills fans remember Buffalo losing four-straight Superbowls from 1990-93.

Losing in the playoffs has become a trend for the Bills. Each postseason the Bills lose and have to face reality and the music.  Buffalo’s loss to the Bengals stings the most. Sports analysts picked the Bills to win the Superbowl during the offseason. Unfortunately, they were wrong and Buffalo had to watch the Superbowl at home.

How Can Buffalo Get Over the Hump?

Buffalo has to get over the hump and find a way to win the Lombardi trophy. The question is how can Buffalo get over the hump. If Buffalo wants to win the Superbowl they need to tweak their offense. Buffalo has become too reliant on Josh Allen’s big arm and running ability. Buffalo must prioritize running the ball and throwing quick passes. Josh Allen also has to check the ball down more , take shorts when available, and lead more productive scoring drives. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs won the Superbowl using this formula. Buffalo should try to copy Kansas City’s formula because the NFL is a copycat league.

Buffalo has had a solid defense the past couple of seasons. However, Buffalo’s defense hasn’t done enough in the playoffs. Cincinnati did whatever they wanted against Buffalo’s defense. Buffalo’s defense has given up big plays in their past playoff losses. Buffalo has the talent on defense, and they have to step up.

    Final Note

Winning the Superbowl is hard and teams need a lot of things to go right. I believe Buffalo has the resources to do something special. Bills mafia can’t wait for the 2023 season to kick off.
