The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will finish out the preseason with a final game against the Indianapolis Colts. They will play this Saturday at 7:30 eastern standard time and will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium. There is some significance to this game because this will be the last game for players trying to make the roster to prove they belong. This will also be the game where the starters will receive significant play time.
Another reason why this game has significance because this will be the game where Tom Brady will play and start after taking an 11 day hiatus. Brady is ranked as the best QB in the NFL this season and many are excited he is back. Many rumors were spread about why Brady was gone including some ridiculous ones. One rumor was that he was making an appearance on the Masked Singer. This rumor was debunked and Brady denied making an appearance on the show. There were also rumors that he was retiring again which was also wrong. Another more accurate rumor was that Brady was vacationing with his family which was the truth.

Bring on the competition!
There are players who are on the bubble as to whether they will make the roster or not. The most significant spot to make decisions is at the receiver spot. The receiver spot is loaded including: Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Julio Jones, Russell Gage, Scotty Miller, Tyler Johnson, Cyril Grayson Jr., and Breshad Perriman. All have great talent and can catch the ball. It will come down to how the coaches see it and how the receivers play. It will all depend on how they play in the last game on Saturday.
Another position where there is competition is left guard. Starting l
eft guard Aaron Stinnie is out for the season with a knee injury which takes him out of it. This leaves the competition between rookie Luke Goedeke, Nick Leverett and Brandon Walton. Walton has been very consistent and could play another position if he has to.
On defense, corners Sean Murphy-Bunting and Jamel Dean are locked in on a battle for the outside corner job. Reserves for the position are not set either but fifth round player Zyon McCollum looks to secure the fourth spot. If the Bucs keep five corners, other players as well as undrafted players will have to battle for the spot.
The inside linebacker position is also in a competition for backups. The starters are Devin White and Lavonte David with two to three backup spots. The players who will fight for those spots are K.J. Britt, Grant Stroud, and J.J Russell and Olakunle Fatukasi. It will be exciting to see where that competition ends up and who will become the backups. The battle for positions will conclude at the final whistle of the game on Saturday.
