Tampa Bay Buccaneers running Leonard Fournette has been a key contributor the past two seasons. In two seasons, he has rushed for 1,179 yards and 14 touchdowns as well as caught 105 passes for 687 yards. He has also won one Super Bowl in 2020. Fournette has been a big presence and has earned respect from the team and league. Fournette also has some funny antics which are quite noticeable. Every day before warmups, Fournette is seen brushing his teeth.

    Always brushing his teeth

Fournette spends a lot of time taking care of his teeth. Fournette said, “I brush my teeth- waking up at six o’clock in the morning. Come in, eat breakfast, brush my teeth again.” Fournette loves taking care of those dentures meaning if he can’t knock a defender down, he will blind them with his “pearly whites.”

Fournette has also gained some weight since the end of the season leading up to training camp. He showed up to camp weighing about 250 pounds which is 20 pounds heavier than his playing weight of 230. When asked about the weight gain, he said, “you can ask any coach I’ve ever had. In the offseason, I always blow up.” The big gene apparently runs in the Fournette family. Fournette was able to lose the weight from two-a-day workouts over the last seven weeks.

Fournette and the Bucs have big goals for this season with the end goal being the Super Bowl. He also has personal goals for himself but he is focused on the team goals first. The Super Bowl is the main team goal to reach. But, before they can get there, the team will need to perform and play as a team. “If we come out and play the way we’re supposed to play, the individual goals will take care of themselves.” It will remain to be seen whether the Bucs will make it to the Super Bowl but before that can happen, the preseason must start.
