Following the Browns’ week one matchup against the Panthers, the Browns are going home to face a young Jets team.
So, we are going to predict how week two will go down for the Browns. The Browns were predicted to win week one against the Panthers. You can look at that prediction here.
Can the Browns Get by the Jets’ Defense?
Once again, Watson may be out against the Jets just like against Carolina. But, with the team that Jacoby Brissett has, he should be able to get some good offense going for the Browns.
The Jets could be a solid team by the end of the year. But for Cleveland, they will be meeting them early on in the season. With how young this Jets team is, that could be a problem with their limited experience.
A good thing for the Jets though is that they are getting many talented players on the defensive side of the ball. They’ll be getting Carl Lawson back from his injury, they also snagged Sauce Gardner and Jermaine Johnson in the draft, and also added Jordan Whitehead in free agency.
The most intriguing player out of that group might be rookie Sauce Gardner. In college with the Cincinnati Bearcats, he was a phenomenal player.
Especially with Gardner and Jordan Whitehead in pass defense, Jacoby Brissett and the Browns may want to be careful in the passing game.
The Jets may be able to kind of guard the passing game, but the run game with Nick Chubb is where the Browns will want to take over. Last year, the Jets ranked 30th in the league in rush defense. The Jets may have gotten Carl Lawson back and Jermaine Johnson, but they’ll be on the edges. The inside run with Chubb for the Browns should be great.
Will the Browns’ Defense Hold Up?
The Jets might be able to put up a good fight against Cleveland. The Jets may be young, but they have some great talent. They have people like Corey Davis, Elijah Moore, C.J. Uzomah, and even Zach Wilson could be solid for the Jets this season.
Cleveland would probably have a good advantage on the defensive side, especially with Denzel Ward guarding the passing game. The Jets will definitely want to stay away from Ward. After all, we know how well of a defender Denzel Ward is.

The Jets’ offensive line also isn’t all that great, so Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney should get some decent pressure on Zach Wilson.
A problem for the Browns could be their interior defense. Their defensive tackles are not all that great, so the Jets could have some success in the run game if they want to go up the middle.
So, Who Wins?
The Jets can be a sneaky good team to start the season, so this game could be closer than people expect.
Final Score Prediction: Browns 27, Jets 20
Browns’ Record Through Two Games: 2-0
