With the addition of Khalil Mack, the Chargers have the potential to be a defensive powerhouse. But, the Browns should have a good day on offense. In fact, the game might be like the one last year where the Browns fell to the Chargers by the score of 47-42.

Something the Browns could take advantage of is the Chargers’ pass defense. Just last year, the Chargers only defended 56 passes. They still have talent when it comes to pass defense, though. The Browns definitely need to be careful of Derwin James Jr. and Asante Samuel Jr.
The Browns can still rely on Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, so it could be a good offensive day for the Browns.
But, it should be a good offensive day for the Chargers as well.
The Browns Can Have Some Defensive Troubles
Just like last year, the Browns can have some troubles on defense.
Justin Herbert is a great young quarterback, and the offensive weapons the Chargers have are great. Guys like Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, and Mike Williams could have this Browns’ defense in for a long day.
In fact, the Chargers were ranked as the number two offense in the NFL just behind the Buffalo Bills.
The Chargers’ offensive line is solid, too. Per PFF, the Chargers are ranked number 12 in the entire league when it comes to their offensive line. The Browns could get some stops, but this Chargers’ offense might just be too good.
