The Cleveland Browns and Myles Garrett went down a crazy road this offseason, starting the week of the Super Bowl. Since the Browns never play in the Super Bowl, they must start off the field drama to be relevant during that time.
Garrett requested to be traded on February 3rd, but a month later, he agreed to a new contract that would keep him in Cleveland through 2030.
Browns Star Myles Garrett Shows Up Late

Many were critical of the deal, and The Atheltic’s Cleveland reporter Jason Lloyd thought Cleveland should’ve traded the 29-year-old pass rusher instead of giving him a new contract.
In Lloyd’s story on Thursday, he reported that Garrett hasn’t been the best teammate.
“It’s well known within the Browns that Garrett is frequently late to the facility. He has skipped mandatory team activities on multiple occasions,” Lloyd wrote. “Veterans typically police the locker room on those types of things and create the culture of accountability, but here, it’s the best player breaking the rules. That has to change now.”
It seems like Garrett has his way with the Browns coaching staff, and that must change if the Browns ever want to compete. Having one player who does not follow the rules is a culture killer, and the Browns need to ensure Garrett is held responsible like the other 52 players on the active roster.
