The Cleveland Browns getting trounced by the Dallas Cowboys during the opening week of the 2024 NFL season is somehow not even close to the biggest storyline for their franchise as we enter week two.
Deshaun Watson has been accused of yet another sexual assault charge. This one (like all the others), had fans disgusted with the actual details of what supposedly happened.
The NFL has already decided on their initial response to these new allegations.
Browns: NFL’s Punishment For Deshaun Watson’s Latest Sexual Assault Charge Announced

According to ESPN on Thursday, the attorney representing the plaintiff in the civil suit accusing Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual assault and battery will speak with the NFL within two weeks.
In the meantime, Watson will able to continue his season:
According to the lawsuit, which was filed Monday in Harris County, Texas, the alleged actions occurred in October 2020 before Watson and a woman, identified as Jane Doe in the court filing, were set to have dinner at the woman’s apartment. Watson was a member of the Houston Texans at the time.
Watson on Wednesday denied the allegations in a statement issued by his attorney, Rusty Hardin.
The NFL on Tuesday said it is reviewing the complaint under the personal conduct policy, but the league added that Watson will not be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list because there have been no formal charges and the league’s review just began.
“We will be scheduling a meeting with the NFL and hope that can be accomplished in the next two weeks,” attorney Tony Buzbee wrote in an email. “We have a video and two additional witnesses for the NFL to speak with. I’ve personally never had confidence in the NFL’s disciplinary process but my client has chosen to engage it.”
Sunday, Watson and the Browns will travel to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars. When asked how he avoids letting this distract him, he said his “focus” is on football:
“I focus on keeping the main thing,” Watson said Wednesday. “And that’s when I walk into this building focusing on being the best quarterback I can be, on the game plan and trying to be better than we were last week so we can get a W.”
Watson was suspended for 11 regular season games without pay and fined $5 million by the NFL and NFLPA in 2022 after at least 24 civil lawsuits alleging he sexually harassed or assaulted women during private massage appointments while he played for the Texans.
