The Cleveland Browns training camp has been one of the biggest storylines in the NFL entering the 2025 season. One of the reasons why this is the case is because of the quarterback battle.

With Deshaun Watson not currently pictured in the battle, the other four quarterbacks who are competing for a starting spot are Shedeur Sanders, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Joe Flacco. The first official Browns depth chart was released on Monday afternoon.
Cleveland Browns Fans Want Shedeur Sanders Traded After Finding Out He Is Fourth On Depth Chart

When Cleveland released its depth chart on Monday, Flacco is currently listed as the starting quarterback. After that, Pickett is second, rookie Gabriel is third, and rookie Sanders is fourth. Well, Sanders being listed fourth has outraged a lot of Browns fans, despite him being a fifth-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. This is what some Cleveland fans had to say about this move:
Brown’s just need to trade Shedeur. Like let him go so he can have a chance on another team.

Why not just trade Shedeur Sanders man. I swear that ish Prime said about Cleveland years ago came back full. I hope Cleveland go 0–16 this year.

trade Shedeur to steelers, let em sit behind rodgers & then take over.

Nahh, you dont put the one you think is QB1 through the ringer like this. Maybe im wrong, I just never seen it in my years of watching. Trade Shedeur to the Saints https://t.co/CGz9fklQ67

If they trade SHEDEUR I’m done I’ll find another team to root for because I’m to that point with the browns.. I’m tired of spending my time and money on a organization that’s loves loosing.. look at Ohio State.. playoffs every year that’s a team to be proud of

There are a lot of fans who are also very upset with general manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski. They are not thrilled with the way they have handled Sanders up to this point. He would be better off elsewhere, because the Browns have no idea what they are doing with him.
The fact that he has barely seen any first team reps in camp is coaching malpractice. Sanders may not turn out to be a superstar. What Cleveland is doing is not giving him a chance. This could be a blessing in disguise in the long run. It is no obvious that the long-term answer at the quarterback position for this franchise is still not on this roster.
