It’s a new year but the same old story for the Cleveland Browns. The Browns head into the 2025 offseason needing a starting quarterback. On Monday, Cleveland traded for Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Kenny Pickett.
Pickett could compete for the starting quarterback this offseason, but the Browns are still looking for QB1. Cleveland could take their franchise signal caller with the No. 2 pick in this year’s draft or turn to another veteran quarterback.
There aren’t many veteran options on the open market so that Cleveland could trade for one. Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins was supposed to be released by the Falcons. However, it seems like they want to keep him as a backup or trade him.
There is much speculation that Cousins could end up in Cleveland, and many Browns fans aren’t excited about the move.

In my opinion, it’s worse for the Browns not to take a QB at 2 opposed to passing on them and watching them have success elsewhere. If you have a chance to take a QB in the top 5, take him.
