The Denver Broncos are in the midst of trying to turn around their franchise. Two seasons ago, when Denver first traded for Russell Wilson, not many thought they would have:
- A sub .500 record with Wilson at QB
- A new head coach after just one season
- The franchise using a first round pick on a rookie quarterback in 2024
- The loss of Jerry Jeudy via trade (Browns)
That is, unfortunately, where we find ourselves today. While rookie Bo Nix has looked outstanding so far in the pre-season, fans are still on edge as far as what to expect from this team. That anxiety didn’t get any better when Denver released a promising player.
Denver Broncos Fans Are Livid With Decision To Cut WR
According to Ari Meirov:
A surprise: The #Broncos are expected to move on from WR Tim Patrick, and are looking at trade possibilities, per mikeklis9news. Patrick had a great preseason and is returning from back-to-back years of significant injuries. Didn’t expect that.
The 2022 season was cut short by Patrick’s torn ACL suffered in training camp that summer, and the 2023 season was cut short by his torn Achilles tendon. In the four seasons that followed, Patrick scraped his way from the Broncos’ practice squad to a prominent role in the offense after being waived by the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers in 2017.
After two years of rehab, he returned to training camp and had five catches for 44 yards and a touchdown. He should garner interest from around the league, and Broncos fans know that:
Denver is horrible for this

Any time you can get rid of a good receiver that clearly had chemistry with your rookie QB, you’ve got to do it
