Brock Purdy, starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, recently appeared on the ‘Rich Eisen Show’ where he was asked about his experience as a new father. Purdy will be playing in the 2025 NFL season armed with a brand new, whopping contract extension, as well as the joy of becoming a new dad recently with his wife, Jenna.
Purdy’s previous season with the San Francisco 49ers was definitely not so impressive and fans are hoping that this new-found joy will push his stats in the upcoming year. The quarterback did admit that while he misses being at home with his kid, he still has many responsibilities as starting quarterback, which are equally important.
“It’s what matters… I get to go home to my wife and our little baby, and to be able to raise her up in this world, and obviously you want to teach her all the good things, and for everything to go perfect, but it’s handling all of that and then coming here and working and playing football… I’m still learning, but my heart is big right now and I’m just so thankful. I mean, there’s been a bunch of different moving parts and whatnot, but being married to Jenna and being my best friend, like we’ve been able to handle all of this.” Brock Purdy spoke about being a new dad in the ‘Rich Eisen Show’.
Brock Purdy and the rest of the San Francisco 49ers will soon be gearing up for their first game of the 2025 NFL season against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1. This time out, the team will be eager to put out a better record than they did in the previous season.
Brock Purdy Lavishes Praise On Tyrese Haliburton
In the same interview, Brock Purdy was also asked about his long-time friendship with NBA star Tyrese Haliburton. Purdy was especially asked about his feelings on Haliburton’s season-ending injury during the final game of the most recent NBA season.
“That’s tough to watch, but I’m so proud of him, just the playoff run that he had. All of us Iowa State guys, we’ve known that Tyrese had the ‘It Factor’ going back to college, and to see him doing this at the highest level, in the NBA, it’s pretty remarkable.” Brock Purdy said.
Tyrese Haliburton has been playing for the Indiana Pacers since the 2022 NBA season but his last game of this recent season was most particularly painful to see. Haliburton suffered a crucial injury which eventually led the team to lose in the finals.
