Brian Daboll, the head coach of the New York Giants, has plenty to worry about, as the team is the first in the league to be kicked out of playoff contention. Most recently, the Giants took on the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day and lost their seventh game in a row. Despite the team’s bad shape, coach Daboll does not seem too worried about his job security with the Giants.
The New York Giants were expected to win the game against the Cowboys in their recent matchup, but unfortunately lost with a final score of 27-20. In that game, New York’s QB Drew Lock completed 21 passes out of 32 attempts for 178 yards, along with a solo interception. Lock also took charge of the team’s rushing with four carries for 57 yards, scoring once, while Malik Nabers defended the team with eight receptions for 69 yards.
“No, I don’t like the results. Nobody likes the results. But I have confidence in the people. We’ve just got to do better.” Daboll said through NJ.com.
Via NJ.com, Brian Daboll noted that the team indeed has a long list of lessons to learn, relearn and unlearn, but is certainly not worried that he might not be allowed to continue as head coach.
Brian Daboll has brought promising results to the Giants, and in his first season as head coach managed to take New York to the playoffs on a wildcard. Daboll was awarded 2022 Coach of the Year for his astonishing efforts with the Giants.
Brian Daboll Wants To Be Fired, According To Stephen A. Smith
On another note, Stephen A. Smith, a journalist known for dropping controversial takes left and right, feels that Brian Daboll might want to be fired after all. It is true that Daboll’s environment right now is not a comfortable one, with Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones both leaving the team.
However, Daboll has not let his team down on any front and even recently said that he is not worried about his job security with the New York Giants. The NFL League is a tricky spot for any sports professional, where performance is always the only thing that matters. Recently, Robert Saleh, who was coaching the New York Jets, was let go, while Joe Douglas, who was the general manager, was fired shortly after.
