The Titans signed three defenders to the practice squad Tuesday
The Tennessee Titans signed three defenders before their upcoming game Saturday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The contest Saturday is a must-win game between both teams. The winner earns the AFC South Divison; the loser will start their offseason Saturday night.
The Titans have dealt with injuries on defense in the season’s closing stretch. They’ve seen injuries on the defensive line, linebacker, and secondary units. The Titans made multiple moves to add depth before they practice this week to beat a red-hot Trevor Lawrence.
According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Titans signed Sam Okuayinonu, Shyheim Carter, and Curtis Brooks to the practice squad.

Okuayinonu, an outside linebacker, was an undrafted free agent signed by the Titans this week. He’s also been waived by the team this season. He earned third-team All-Big Ten honors in college when he played for Maryland.
Carter, a safety, played for Alabama in college. He was a part of the 2016 class of freshmen for the Crimson Tide. This is his first season in the NFL.
Brooks, a defensive tackle, was a sixth-round draft pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2022. He spent most of the regular season in the Colts’ practice squad until he was waived in December. Brooks earned first-team All-AAC honors at Cincinnati.
