Texas Longhorns Head Coach Steve Sarkisian Announces Quinn Ewers Will Return Against the Oklahoma Sooners
On Thursday, head coach Steve Sarkisian announced that Quinn Ewers is back in the starting lineup this weekend against the Oklahoma Sooners. Arch Manning started the last two games for Texas with Ewers sidelined. This is huge news for the Longhorns that Ewers is back.
Ewers has completed 73.4% of his passes this season for 691 yards, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions. Manning has completed 70.5% of his passes for 901 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions.
It will be interesting to see how well Quinn Ewers plays in his first game back from the abdominal/oblique injury. For now, Arch Manning will be back to being Ewers’ backup quarterback.
Fans React
There was no surprise that the Longhorns and other fans were going to react to Quinn Ewers returning to the field this weekend. Here is what they had to say on Twitter:

There were crazy reactions to this news. The only way Ewers gets benched for Manning is if he gets hurt again. Head coach Steve Sarkisian will want to stick with him. Anything can happen in the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners matchup, but it appears as if Texas is much better this season than Oklahoma is.
