The Philadelphia Eagles have suffered injuries to key players against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon on the road. With A.J. Brown already sidelined, the Eagles lost Lane Johnson and Mekhi Becton to injuries on the offensive.
Eagles wide receiver Devonta Smith in the game against the Saints caught seven passes for 79 yards receiving and zero touchdowns. Smith is the number one receiving option for quarterback Jalen Hurts with A.J. Brown sidelined.

It is not a surprise that he was ruled out with a concussion. Smith took a massive shot on this play when he had the football. This is what some of the fans had to say about the concussion:
Devonta Smith injured there goes my parlay 😔

It was a huge touchdown for Barkley on the same drive that Smith injured himself in. The former Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver getting hurt is not ideal for the Eagles.
Dallas Goedert Steps Up
With the Eagles being out of their top wide receivers, tight end Dallas Goedert has stepped up in a big way for Philadelphia. Goedert is over 100 yards receiving in the game. At the moment, he is the top option for quarterback Jalen Hurts with Devonta Smith and A.J. Brown out.
We will see what happens with Smith heading into next week. The Eagles will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4.
