When a team like Ole Miss can go to a nearby state like Alabama, the best state for college football, and take one of their very talented high school players, it is a significant win. But it hurts even more when that player you take decides to de-commit from your program, which is what happened to Ole Miss on Tuesday.
Ole Miss Loses Wide Receiver

According to Hayes Fawcett from On3.com, Dillon Alfred decommited from Ole Miss and is the state of Alabama’s number one wide receiver in the class of 2025 per On3. Alfred committed to the Rebels in April and now will be looking for a new school to commit to.

According to 247sports.com, Alfred is the 56th-ranked wide receiver in the 2025 class and is interested in teams like Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas, Houston, Liberty, and Auburn.

Before Alfred committed to Ole Miss, 247sports had Missouri landing him at a 50% chance, so there is a chance the Tigers get back into his recruitment and land the star player.
Ole Miss also saw wide receiver Jerome Myles and EDGE Corey Amos de-commit on Monday, but head coach Lane Kiffin better figure something out before he loses more players from the 2025 class.
