The Michigan Wolverines are coming off a great season. They won the Big Ten and went to the College Football Playoff. However, they have had some scandals to begin the offseason. One involved co-offensive coordinator Matt Weiss who was being investigated by the university for alleged computer crimes. On Friday, Michigan and Weiss have officially parted ways.
Michigan Fires OC Matt Weiss
Very little details are known about the scandal. It occurred at the end of December and Weiss has been cooperating with officials since then. Weiss had been temporarily suspended by the university and did not coach in the game against TCU. It seems that while the investigation is still ongoing, Michigan has decided to move on.

What Happens Now?
What likely happens is Sherrone Moore, the other offensive coordinator takes the helm. Jim Harbaugh may decide to promote one of his offensive staff to assist Moore or just may give Moore the job outright. Michigan’s offense is returning a lot of its starters including star running back Blake Corum. Michigan will need their offense to run smoothly if they are to make it to the College Football Playoff for the third year in a row.
I’m sure more details will come out soon but all we know now is the headline “Michigan fires OC Matt Weiss”. We will have to wait on the rest of the details.
