The Los Angeles Chargers hire a quarterbacks coach
The Los Angeles Chargers are revamping their offense for the 2023 season. Following a Wild Card disaster, where they blew a giant lead to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Chargers made changes to the offensive coaching staff.
The Chargers hired Kellen Moore as their offensive coordinator a few weeks ago. Moore was fired after having philosophical differences with Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy. (The Cowboys suffered their own heartbreaking loss in the playoffs.) Now another former Cowboys assistant is joining Moore in Los Angeles.
According to Dianna Russini with ESPN, the Chargers hired Doug Nussmeier as their quarterback’s coach.

Nussmeier was the Cowboys quarterback coach from 2020-22. He helped to coach Dak Prescott during that time. However, Nussmeier’s greatest achievement with the Cowboys might be getting the best out of backup Cooper Rush.
Rush played exceptionally well for the Cowboys when Prescott suffered an injury early in the 2022 season. Now Nussmeier will be given an upgrade at quarterback to coach, as he’ll have Justin Herbert with the Chargers.
