The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to make another run at the Super Bowl. One of the constant problems for them is their offensive line. They have to protect franchise quarterback Joe Burrow. The team signed Orlando Brown Jr. to a massive deal in free agency hoping to solve the issue. However, in the wake of that move, OT Jonah Williams has requested a trade.

Cincinnati Bengals OT Jonah Williams Requests Trade
The Bengals just can’t win. The hope was that Brown could take over the left tackle position and Williams would move over to right tackle. It seems that he did not approve of this plan. The day after the signing, Williams’ agent requested a trade. The 25-year-old tackle would be very valuable to any team if the Bengals are willing to move him. It is unclear whether the Bengals will grant the request or attempt to retain him.

No Shortage Of Suitors
All teams can use offensive line help. Even the ones that do not have an immediate need could use more depth on the line. If the Bengals make him available, they should not have a problem finding a team to take Willaims. One could argue that they should try to move him as they could pick up some more draft capital to pick up a young player. They might also be able to get another asset in return and find a right tackle elsewhere. Left tackle is the more important position as it protects the blind side.
It will be interesting to see what the Cincinnati Bengals do with Jonah Williams. If they do decide to move him, they will lose one of the better young tackles in the league and take a step back in their quest to protect Joe Burrow.
