The defense received much criticism following the Bills’ loss at home in the divisional round to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Salgado has been with the Bills since 2017 when he started coaching the nickel position. He recently switched to coaching safeties this season.
Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier remains safe for now. He had been linked to head coaching jobs last season and received a lot of praise for the Bills’ success. He was linked to NFL job openings this season but has received harsh criticism from some fans and media analysts for the defenses’ recent struggles.
