The Dallas Cowboys are expected to be without a key player ahead of their matchup against the New York Jets in Week 2. Both teams come into the contest with injury issues. The Jets suffered the worst injury news of the season in Week 1 when Aaron Rodgers went down with an Achilles injury.
Cowboys injuries didn’t seem major during their win over the New York Giants in Week 1. They blew out the Giants 40-0 in a game that didn’t need much from the Cowboys passing attack. However, wide receiver Brandin Cooks suffered an MCL strain and was questionable to play the Jets.
Brandin Cooks not expected to play for the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2
According to Adam Schefter with ESPN Saturday night, Cooks is not expected to play against the Jets.
Cowboys’ WR Brandin Cooks, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a sprained knee, is not expected to play vs. the Jets, per source.

That’s a massive loss for the Cowboys, who traded for Cooks this offseason. Cooks is a threat when paired with CeeDee Lamb. We’ll see how Mike McCarthy chooses to attack an elite Jets defense without one of his best offensive weapons.
