Brandin Cooks talks about joining a loaded roster
The Dallas Cowboys will have high expectations heading into the 2023 season. The Cowboys are looking to compete with the Philadelphia Eagles this season after the team made some moves to help Dak Prescott out this offseason. The Cowboys added veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the offense. The former first-round selection recently spoke about getting catches in a loaded system.
According to The Dallas Morning News, Cooks said on Adam Schefter’s podcast that he plans to help CeeDee Lamb, who Cooks considers to be the Cowboys’ number one wide receiver next season:
“CeeDee, you’re talking about a guy that’s been electric since the moment he stepped into this league, Cooks said. “But you look at last year, what he did to really just go into that mode of a true No. 1 receiver. I’ve got a lot of respect for his game from afar, and I hit him up and was like, ‘Look, I’m coming to just help.’ Like, there’s no ego.”
The Cowboys hope that having Cooks and Lamb on the field will stretch defenses next season. Both wide receivers should benefit from Cooks being in Dallas.
