On Saturday, the Atlanta Falcons signed two veteran defenders. The Falcons needed to beef up their trenches before the start of the upcoming season.

The Falcons had issues at the defensive end last season. The team was expected to try to land help at that position with their No. 8 pick in the draft; instead, they selected Michael Penix Jr. in the shock of the weekend. The Falcons added Edge Bralen Trice and defensive tackles Ruke Orhorhoro and Brandon Dorlus later in the draft.

The Dallas Cowboys selected Anae in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He spent time with the New York Jets in the previous two seasons. He’s appeared in 11 games and recorded two tackles.

The Tennessee Titans drafted Cruikshank in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He’s spent time with the Chicago Bears and Jets. He’s appeared in 54 games and has recorded 66 total tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception.
