“Born Without Taste”: NFL Fans Torch Insider Over His Awful Thanksgiving Dessert Take

NFL insider Ian Rapoport breaks news for a living. He drops injury reports, trade rumors, and contract details. That’s his usual lane. But on Thanksgiving week, he wandered into dangerous territory with a dessert take that set off a firestorm on the internet.

Rapoport declared apple pie “bad” and “not really debatable” on Good Morning Football. He didn’t stop there. He torched key lime pie too, crowning pecan pie as the undisputed champion. Fans who trust him with Sunday lineup decisions suddenly questioned everything.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport Hates Apple Pie

Good Morning Football co-host Kyle Brandt posted a poll asking how fans felt about apple pie. The results weren’t kind to Rapoport’s hot take. Over 5,000 people voted, with 52.6 percent saying they “love” apple pie. Another third called it “fine.” Only 14.4 percent sided with Rapoport and called it “gross.”

Rapoport doubled down anyway with his take. He fired back on social media, restating his position with zero remorse.

“It’s bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie,” he wrote. Following his reaction, the only thing that remained was to start a war over dessert. Apple pie holds sacred status on Thanksgiving tables. Calling it trash struck a nerve with fans who see it as an American tradition.

The insider’s stubborn opinion only made things worse. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo shared a photo of Rapoport’s unappetizing Thanksgiving plate from 2016, implying he should stay out of the debate.

Quite frankly, the torching reactions were just getting started toward the insider.

Fans Unleash Fury Over Rapoport’s Dessert Disaster

Dessert lovers, especially apple pie lovers, showed no mercy to the NFL insider. They exploded with absolute roasting.

One fan asked, “Ian were you born without taste buds?”

Another added, “This is the worst take of all food takes!”

A third claimed, “It sounds like you have only had bad, crunchy-apple pies.”

“I now HATE you. Both apple and key lime are amazing. Pecan and pumpkin are the worst. Meet me somewhere dog, we fighting,” one user fired back.

Another penned, “You’re out of your damn mind.”

His controversial pie take drew more attention than many of his seasonal breaking news stories. He hasn’t backed down. He’s sticking to his guns, though. Pecan pie remains his hill to die on, even as his own community roasts him for disrespecting Thanksgiving tradition.
