Bo Nix Blamed For Micah Parson’s ACL Tear In Shocking Statement (Watch)

Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos took down Micah Parsons and the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.  The win moved Denver to 11-2 on the year and in control of their own destiny from this point forward.  However, Green Bay is looking at a much different picture in the NFC.  They will be competing with the Chicago Bears the rest of the way for the NFC North Crown.

Parson’s ACL tear changes the expectations of this defense moving forward.  And now, Nix is being blamed for Parsons’ injury.

Ryan Clark Blames Broncos QB Bo Nix for Micah Parsons’ Season-Ending ACL Tear

Former Pittsburgh Steelers safety and current ESPN analyst Ryan Clark sparked controversy during NFL Live, by linking Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons’ non-contact ACL tear directly to Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix’s elusiveness.

Clark’s key statements:

“Micah Parsons is hurt because of Bo Nix. I’m not saying it’s one of those things that’s Bo Nix’s fault, but the violence in which Micah Parsons had to chase Bo Nix the entire second half was extremely evident.”[¹][²][³]

Here is the video:

He elaborated that Parsons was the primary defender pursuing Nix throughout the game, forcing repeated redirects and high-effort chases. On the injury play (late third quarter), Nix moved outside the pocket, threw to Marvin Mims, and Parsons changed direction abruptly—leading to his knee buckling without contact.[⁴][⁵]

Clark praised Nix’s performance (302 yards, 4 TDs in a 34-26 Broncos win) while noting the cumulative strain on Parsons contributed to the injury.[⁶]

Injury Details

  • Non-contact ACL tear in left knee, confirmed by MRI on December 15, 2025—ending Parsons’ season (and potentially affecting early 2026).[⁷][⁸][⁹]
  • Occurred while Parsons rushed Nix; he immediately grabbed his knee and was helped off the field.[¹⁰]
  • Parsons had 12.5 sacks (tied for 3rd in NFL) before the injury, bolstering the Packers’ defense post-trade from Dallas.[¹¹]

Reaction and Controversy

Many outlets and fans called Clark’s take “ridiculous,” “bizarre,” “wild,” or “really weird,” emphasizing that non-contact ACL tears are often bad luck, not attributable to an opposing player’s mobility.[¹²][¹³][¹⁴]

  • Critics argued Clark’s phrasing implied blame despite his disclaimer.
  • No reports of direct fault (e.g., dirty play) on Nix; it was purely about pursuit effort.[¹⁵]

Bo Nix had a standout game, helping the Broncos clinch a playoff spot, while the loss dropped the Packers’ Super Bowl odds significantly without Parsons.[¹⁶]
