The Buffalo Bills are getting ready to finish their regular season strong before they start their post-season run. Buffalo will travel to New England to take on Drake Maye and the Patriots. As it turns out, Buffalo will have a new quarterback on their roster.
Breaking: Bills Sign New Quarterback Just Before Playoffs (Report)
According to a Buffalo Bills press release, quarterback Mike White was signed to the active roster on Friday, while linebacker Nicholas Morrow was released:
The signing comes before the Bills head to Foxborough, MA on Saturday to finish the 2024 NFL season against the New England Patriots Sunday afternoon.
This past Monday, Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that quarterback Josh Allen will start Week 18’s game but that his time on the field will be very limited.
Buffalo already locked in their position for the playoffs (the two seed) and the only thing on the line Sunday is Allen’s consecutive start streak (currently at 114 games).
White has seven career starts in the NFL — all with the New York Jets — over a span of two seasons. The 29-year-old quarterback also appeared in six games for the Miami Dolphins last season.
White has 196 completions for 2,219 yards and nine touchdowns over his three-year career. He’s also thrown 13 interceptions, been sacked 13 times, and had three fumbles during that time.
