The Buffalo Bills are going into the 2024 season having had an extremely eventful off-season. The team moved on from multiple leaders over the last few months, including Stefon Diggs (trade), Micah Hyde (release) and Jordan Poyer (release).
However, there could be another release on the way that would further upset their fan base.
The Buffalo Bills May Move On From Fan Favorite RB Ahead Of The 2024 Season
Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic highlighted who he thinks will make the Bills roster, unfortunately Frank Gore Jr. wasn’t on the list:
Running Back (4)
James Cook, Ray Davis, Ty Johnson, Reggie Gilliam (FB)
Running back is an open-and-shut case. Cook is the starter, with Davis and Johnson as his primary backups. Gilliam is the team’s fullback while serving on all special teams units. The only question is if their practice squad running back is on the roster but Frank Gore Jr. is a relatively safe bet for that role.
Released: Darrynton Evans (with injury settlement)
Waived: Frank Gore Jr.
Running back Frank Gore Jr., son of NFL legend and former Bills running back Frank Gore, demonstrated his capabilities in the team’s final preseason game on August 24. With 101 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown, Gore Jr. finished a strong preseason and training camp. It would be surprising to see the Bills let him go, and fans on social media agree:
