The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs put on an absolute show on Sunday. The potential game of the week featured two Super Bowl contenders, two elite quarterbacks, and two teams who don’t like each other.
However, there are things in the world bigger than football, and one story regarding this game will hit you right in the feels.
“Thank You Josh Allen & The Bills For Giving me Those 5 Minutes With My Dad” Buffalo Fans Makes Incredible Announcement
Chris, a Buffalo Bills fan, posted this heartfelt message that has accumulated nearly 20,000 likes:
My dad, who has dementia, lives in a memory care facility now. We can carry on a conversation sometimes but he rarely ever calls me.
He watched #KCvsBUF today, & called me tonight to give me the rundown from the Allen 4th D TD run thru the Mahomes’ INT.
He was so excited to “beat those damn Chiefs.” Thank you Josh Allen & the Bills for giving me those 5 minutes w my dad.
He later continued:
I’m sorry to those of you I haven’t responded to. This has connected w a lot folks.
If you’ve commented about having a loved one w memory issues, please know you’re not alone.
Also, it’s ok to hold onto those common, everyday moments, esp as they become less and less common.
Football is family. Life is so much bigger than football when you zoom out. Those who are important to you, hold close. It is an incredible moment when football can bring you closer to those who really matter.
Here is who Buffalo has on deck for the rest of the regular season:
