The Buffalo Bills are 3-2 following their heartbreaking loss to the Houston Texans. Still, Buffalo figures to be a post-season contender this year when the playoffs come around. Their only other loss came against the Baltimore Ravens.
However, to put themselves in position to make a Super Bowl run, they could be adding a huge name to their offense.
Bills Inching Toward Franchise-Altering Trade (Report)
In a move that could happen as early as this week, the Buffalo Bills are keeping a close eye on Davante Adams’ situation.
A number of teams have expressed interest in acquiring Adams, including the Bills, since Adams requested a trade from the Raiders.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Bills still want Adams and have contacted the Raiders. However, other teams have been more aggressive in pursuing him.
Buffalo will likely need to increase their offer if they want to get Davante.
Following Buffalo’s week five loss to the Texans, SI.com writer Ronnie Eastham said it’s time for the team to find a new No. 1 receiver for Allen.
“Buffalo needs help at wide receiver, and fortunately, one of the best wide receivers in the league in Davante Adams is reportedly on the trade market,” Eastham wrote.
“The Bills reportedly have interest; the financials are difficult (Adams has a base salary of $17 million and Buffalo has just over $3 million in salary cap space), but where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
