“Kim Kardashian Would Be Mad”: NFL Fans React to Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson Filing “Gold Digger” Trademark

Ever since Bill Belichick arrived at Chapel Hill to reshape the North Carolina Tar Heels college football program, he just can’t stay out of the headlines. Most of them are warranted because of his relationship with 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson.

The legendary former New England Patriots coach and his girlfriend have taken their relationship into the business world, filing to trademark the term “Gold Digger.” According to Darren Rovell of Cllct, the filing intends to slap the phrase on jewelry and keychains, turning their criticism into cold, hard cash.

The move flooded social media with sarcastic comments. One fan wrote, “Kim Kardashian will be mad.”

Another said, “All the aura he built up over the years, gone in the last 2 lol.”

One X user tweeted, “GOAT head coach in the mud lmao.”

“I wonder who came up with all of those money-making ideas,” tweeted one more sarcastically.

“Belichick and Jordon Hudson are flipping the script on public perception,” said one more.

“People who try to trademark terms everyone uses should be locked up immediately—I hope UNC goes 0-12,” commented another.

Hudson, 24, has been more than just Belichick’s partner—she’s officially managing several of his ventures. Together, the duo has pushed a string of trademark filings this year through their company, TCE Rights Management LLC. Alongside “Gold Digger,” they’ve also sought rights to phrases like “Chapel Bill,” “Trail of Salty Tears,” and “The Belichick Way.”

Whether the trademark gets approved or not, the chatter has already accomplished one thing: it’s keeping Belichick and Hudson firmly in the spotlight. With his debut season at North Carolina kicking off against TCU on Monday night, fans are just as eager to see what happens off the field as they are on it.

Love him or hate him, Belichick’s brand is evolving—and the internet is here for every wild twist.

Bill Belichick’s UNC Gets Hulu Docuseries

Belichick’s college football project is heading straight to the small screen. The legendary coach and his North Carolina Tar Heels will be featured in a season-long Hulu docuseries. It will give fans an all-access look at his first year running the ACC program.

Belichick revealed the news to his team on August 24, just a week before their season opener against TCU on September 1.

“This is about the UNC football program,” Belichick stated. “It’s going to feature the players working hard, which you guys do. There’s obviously a lot of interest in it and it’ll stream on Hulu later this fall… It’ll show our commitment to winning, it’ll show our commitment to the team, and that’s our priority.”

The UNC coach stresses that the series won’t just be about him. It’s about the grind of his roster as they try to build something new in Chapel Hill. Hulu is yet to comment on the release date, but fans can’t wait.

Adding to the hype is Belichick’s girlfriend, Hudson, who shared a cryptic Instagram post on August 23, tagging Hulu and Disney+ with a throwback photo from UNC practice.

This isn’t the first time Belichick’s Tar Heels have been linked to a behind-the-scenes project. Earlier this year, the program was rumored to be part of HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” but that deal fell through at the last minute.
