Bill Belichick is one of the most respected NFL head coaches of all time. His more than two decade run with the New England Patriots cemented his place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. However, his time coaching the North Carolina Tarheels has been primarily focused on his relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.
Today, his contract changed in a huge way.
Breaking: Bill Belichick’s Contract With UNC Just Changed In Massive Way (Report)

Bill Belichick’s new coaching contract with North Carolina has officially been implemented on Sunday:
In December, Belichick stunned the football world by agreeing to coach the ACC football program. Even after he joined the Tar Heels, skeptics questioned his commitment to college. A stipulation in his deal fueled those thoughts.
On June 1, Belichick’s buyout decreases from $10 million to $1 million. While buyouts are often associated with schools paying a fired head coach, contracts also include a fee in the opposite direction.
Starting on Sunday, Belichick would owe North Carolina far less to leave. The buyout remains at $1 million for the remainder of his contract.
Observers have long viewed the buyout as a potential escape route for Belichick. The thinking went that the six-time Super Bowl champion could eventually use his UNC job as a launching pad back into the NFL.
However, fans may now wonder if a recent public relations fiasco has adversely affected his standing with the university.

Belichick’s romantic relationship with Jordon Hudson has received enhanced attention after his girlfriend/media manager interrupted a CBS interview. Pablo Torre reported that North Carolina has prohibited Hudson from attending football practices.
Last month, Torre said he thinks there’s “an absolutely real chance” Belichick never coaches a game for North Carolina. He cited June 1 as “the date that matters the most.”
“The question everyone is asking is, are things so dysfunctional behind the scenes when it comes to the power struggle, when it comes to them telling Bill what to do?” Torre said on The Domonique Foxworth Show. “‘Don’t have Jordon around anymore. Stop behaving in the way that you have.’ Basically telling him, for the first time really, that you are an employee and not the boss of this building.”
Belichick tried to downplay concerns of an abrupt exit when he first joined the program. Despite the noteworthy contract clause, the 73-year-old insisted in December that he “didn’t come here to leave.”
“I always wanted to coach in college football, but it never really worked out,” Belichick said. “I did some good years in the NFL, and that went OK, but this is really kind of a dream come true.”
