Every week of college football is another week closer to the end of the season. It also means it is time for Monday’s Big 10 Power Rankings. Each and every week SpikedJohnnyB has his power rankings out for the PAC 12, SEC, Big 10, Big 12 and ACC. The host of Spiked College Football Show and Units Only Go Up ranks every single power five team. Where did your team fall this week?

Big 10 Power Rankings: Playoff Contenders

    #1 – Ohio State

We find out this week during THE GAME. One of the biggest rivalries in college football. This will decide who goes to the playoff. My money is on the Buckeyes. That’s why they’re number one in the Big 10 Power Rankings.

    #2 – Michigan

We find out this week during THE GAME. Read above. I think they lose. If Michigan wins, I will admit I am wrong like I always do. Except I’m never wrong, because I always hedge my bets. The end.

Big 10 Power Rankings: Bowl Teams

    #3 – Penn State

The Nittany Lions’ only losses came from the teams ranked above them. They’ve ran through everybody else they’ve played. I might have been wrong on this team all year. We will see during bowl season. They might actually be a top 10 team.

#4 – Iowa, Purdue, Illinois, Minnesota

All of these teams are 7-4 overall and could all finish 5-4 in the conference. Iowa does have the inside track at going to the Big 10 title game. But like I said last week, these teams are literally all the same. Either way, whoever comes out of the west will be a sacrificial lamb to either the Buckeyes or the Wolverines. No picture for you.

    #8 – Wisconsin

The Badgers find themselves Bowl eligible, even in the year they fired their coach. I think the best move for them would be to hire interim coach Jim Leonard as their full time coach and continue their winning ways in Madison. They’ll be in a mid-tier bowl as they are just a .500 team this year. Nothing exciting really about them.

    #9 – Maryland

Taulia being out for some of the games with injury really affected this team this year. They are a much better team when he is on the field. They will at least go bowling this year. It’s really hard to power rank this team with all of the injuries to their quarterback and leader.

    #10 – Michigan State

This team isn’t bowl eligible yet and they’re not really that great of a team, but coach Tucker might have them Spartans comin’ for real. They’ve had an up and down year, but can end it on a high note with an upset win at Penn State to go bowling.

Big 10 Power Rankings: Thank God It’s Over

    #11 – Rutgers

The best of the worst teams in the Big 10 Power Rankings. At least they have the right guy at coach to lead them into the next. couple years. I really do believe in Schiano. At least they’re not in last place in the power rankings.

    #12 – Indiana

Thank God it’s basketball season or Hoosier fans would lose their shit. Indiana will always be a basketball school, even if they have one good year at football every 10 years.

    #13 – Nebraska

Hire a new coach. Then we can talk.

    #14 – Northwestern

The worst team in the Big 10 Power Rankings. But they’re here for their GPA not their touchdowns, anyway.

Well there you have it college football junkies. I’ve given you the most unbiased and educational big 10 power rankings that you’ll ever find. This one was short and sweet, but hey it’s a holiday week. So blow me. I wanna spend time with my family, not waste my words on you people. Happy Thanksgiving, ya’ll. Thank you for tuning in with me every week.
