With the NFL season’s kickoff looming, fans are looking for ways to stream all of the NFLs games this year. It can be difficult to find out how. Here are some of the easiest and most affordable ways to stream NFL games this year.
The first option of course, is NFL Sunday Ticket available through DirecTv.
According to DirecTv’s website, to gain access to “every live out-of-market game every Sunday afternoon” you must pay $73.49 per month or you can pay $99.00 and get all of those games. They also have a premium tier which includes NFL Redzone.
Cable Subscription Streaming Services May be a viable option
Other options include what is basically a cable subscription in services like YoutubeTV, Hulu Plus Live TV, and fuboTV. There are other similar services, but for the sake of this exercise I chose these three:
- YoutubeTV costs $64.99 per month, but offer $50 off the first month
- Hulu Plus Live TV costs a whopping $69.99 per month, but offer $20 off for the first three months
- fuboTV costs the same as Hulu, at $69.99 per month for their basic subscription (which includessports), but goes up from there.
As far as these three streaming services go, fuboTV is the most expensive coming in at $349.95. All three of these prices are for the time period of September through January. Hulu is in second place coming in at $289.95 and YouTubeTV comes in first at $274.95.
A combination of Streaming network streaming services may be more affordable
The next way I considered for streaming NFL games this season is a combination of the streaming services that each individual network uses for its own shows and broadcasts.
Currently, there are four networks that broadcast NFL Games: CBS, Fox, NBC, and ESPN
CBS broadcasts AFC games on Sunday afternoons, Fox has NFC games on Sunday afternoons, NBC broadcasts Sunday Night Football, and ESPN broadcasts Monday Night games. Now the real question: where do these games stream?
- CBS games stream on Paramount Plus for as low ass $4.99 per month
- Fox doesn’t have a streaming service, but does let you watch their broadcasts live from their website
- NBC streams Sunday Night Football on Peacock and are currently offering it for $2.99 per month, but normally charge $4.99 per month
- ESPN Plus streams Monday Night Football for $9.99 per month
So, in order to stream every NFL Game this season using these services, it will cost around $89.95-$99.85, for all of September through January.
The Most Affordable Option is NFL Plus
This is definitely a more affordable option than the cable streaming packages. By far the most affordable option for streaming NFL games this season is NFL Plus.
NFL Plus costs $4.99 per month, and offers streaming of live NFL games. The only drawback is games are only available to stream from mobile devices, meaning a smart phone or tablet.
However, if you own a smart TV you can most likely airplay to the TV or even hook up an HDMI to your device to get it on the TV that way.
If you’re looking to spend the least amount of money NFL Plus is the best option. Of course, you can only watch on mobile devices. If you’re looking to stream from a computer or a streaming device or console, the streaming services are your best bet. However, all of the games will have to be watched in different places, but the prices are fairly reasonable.
If you’re willing to spend a little more money, NFL Sunday Ticket is a good option. However they blackout local games. Then, if you just want to watch what is being broadcasted in your area, one of the cable subscription streaming services, is your best option.
