The Christmas Eve matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Washington Commanders was at first a nail-biter, then a 49ers blowout. A couple of players were the best 49ers players of the match. Between the defense making significant stops and an offense putting points on the board, many of these players could be highlighted. The 49ers won the game 37-20 moving to an 11-4 record, while the Commanders fell to a 7-7-1 record. Here are three of the best 49ers players vs the Commanders.

Best 49ers Players: George Kittle
George Kittle had himself a game against the Washington Commanders on Christmas Eve. Not only did he score two touchdowns, but he also beat his career high for touchdowns in the regular season, currently having a total of eight. Kittle was one of the best 49ers players against the Commanders during Saturday’s game.

In the game against the Commanders, not only did Kittle score two touchdowns, but he also had six receptions for 120 yards, according to ESPN. The second touchdown by George Kittle was initially intended for Ray-Ray McCloud, according to quarterback Brock Purdy. Luckily the team was still able to score from the play. Purdy is lucky enough to play on an offense that has multiple weapons, but since having to be the starter, Kittle has been a top target. Kittle’s ability to get open, as well as get yards after the catch has been a great help for a team with Super Bowl aspirations. Kittle has proven that he was one of the best 49ers players against the Commanders.
Best 49ers Players: Ray-Ray McCloud
Wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud has mainly been a special teams player this season, but with Deebo Samuel out, McCloud stepped up big time. McCloud was one of the best 49ers players on the field in Saturday’s game. While McCloud did not have any receptions, especially with Kittle taking his touchdown chance, he had one strong run that truly helped the team.

According to ESPN, McCloud only rushed the ball one time. On that play, McCloud ran for 71 yards for a touchdown. This was McCloud’s second touchdown of the season, but the first that came from him running the ball. While this play may not be used often, McCloud can be yet another dual threat on this San Francisco 49ers offense. A video of the run can be found below, in a tweet posted by the NFL.

Best 49ers Players: Nick Bosa
The 49ers’ defense had a great game and it was difficult to just pick one player. Many of them can be named one of the best 49ers players against Washington. Defensive end Nick Bosa officially reached his career high with his two sacks against Washington. Bosa has officially reached 17.5 sacks this season and looking to beat Aldon Smith’s career-high of 19.5 sacks in one season. Bosa is already one of the best 49ers players this year, but with two games left of the regular season, look for him to push to beat Smith’s record.
Against the Washington Commanders, Bosa had a total of seven tackles, five of which were solo, according to ESPN. While he had his two sacks, he also had four quarterback hits. He was the only player to get a sack, but there were many players who also came close. Next weekend, the 49ers will play the Las Vegas Raiders and expect him to push for those last two sacks that would tie the record.

While there were a number of teammates that could have been discussed as the best 49ers players against the Commanders, these three deserved a great amount of recognition. San Francisco is currently sitting in the third seed for playoffs, but still pushing to move up. The 49ers will next face the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday. Be sure to watch for these three, as they were among the best 49ers players last weekend.
