The Cincinnati Bengals have been led by quarterback Joe Burrow for the last five years.  During that time he’s not only turned into one of the best signal callers in the NFL, but he also led his team to the Super Bowl during the 2021 season.

However, it still hasn’t been enough for the league to listen to his requests.

As far as the Bengals’ schedule in 2025 is concerned, quarterback Joe Burrow didn’t hold back in voicing his displeasure:

After hoping for an international game and a primetime division matchup against the Ravens at home, Cincinnati got neither. And the two-time Pro Bowler admitted he feels its beyond time his team got to host one of those games.

“Playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight year in primetime isn’t ideal,” Burrow told reporters last week. “Maybe we can get one of those in Cincinnati. Please.”

Burrow’s comments eventually got back to the league office and drew a response from NFL VP of broadcast planning and scheduling, Mike North — who didn’t take issue with the QB’s criticisms.

“It’s fair,” North said to Bengals.com over the weekend. “It’s not a one-or-two years sort of a league where you fix every problem every other year or every two years. Once you start getting to the same thing three years in a row, four, or five years in a row, whether it’s a short week Thursday on the road or opening on the road. When trends like that emerge, we probably have to adjust at some point.”

Even though North wishes he could “wave a magic wand” and fix it because he feels the Bengals have earned the right to be at home for one of those matchups, he did attempt to look at the bright side for Cincy’s fans.

“They deserve it. You’ve played your way into these windows,” North added. “An MVP quality quarterback and superstar wide receivers, and we play exciting games. Both Ravens-Bengals games last year were spectacular. We wanted to make sure that we ended up with at least one of them in primetime this year.”

“We got it. I’m sure Bengals fans would have preferred it in Cincinnati, but it should be fun for you guys to ruin Baltimore’s Thanksgiving.”
