The Chicago Bears are just hours away from beginning their 2025 NFL Draft. However, they will be doing so with heavy hearts. It was learned Wednesday afternoon that one of their legends will be entering the final phase of his life.
Breaking: Bears Legend Enters The Final Stage Of His Life

A sad announcement was made this week about Steve McMichael’s health:
Misty McMichael told FOX 32 Chicago that Steve’s health has declined in recent weeks, leading to a stint in the ICU.
“He’s been unresponsive for the last two weeks and in and out of the hospital,” she said.
“As of today, Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox has recommended to the family to transfer Steve into a Joliet hospice facility this afternoon.”
The 67-year-old McMichael played for the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers in addition to his time with the Bears.
After his football career, he spent time as a professional wrestler in both WWE and WCW.
During his time with WWE, he appeared at WrestleMania XI for the match between fellow Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor and Bam Bam Bigelow. McMichael was one of several football players to get involved with the match.
In WCW, McMichael would join the legendary Four Horsemen group with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and other top wrestlers. He won the United States championship in WCW, and appeared for the company until 1999.
Last year, the Pro Football Hall of Fame traveled to the McMichael home with Steve’s bust and gold jacket, allowing him to experience the honor in person despite the challenges he faces due to his health.
