The Cincinnati Bearcats dominate the Kennesaw State Owls 63-10 to pick up their first win of the 2022 season and extend their home winning streak to 28 games. The Bearcats came out firing on all facets of the game where they dominated early and often.

    Bearcats Offense Dominates:

Firstly on the offensive side of the ball the Bearcats were able to rack up the points and yards against an Owls team that looked like they did not belong on the field. Ben Bryant was able to lead the offense like expected completing 21 of 25 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bearcats to an early offensive explosion.

Additionally Evan Prater was able to get on the field as well and get some playing time and rack up 92 passing yards, while being 4/5 on passes. Prater was able to cap off that performance with a 44 yard rushing touchdown. Equally impressive was the running backs racking up three more touchdowns and nearly 200 yards in a excellent showing.

    Elite Defense Again?

Albeit that this game may have been against an underperforming FCS school the Bearcats showed flashes of the defense returning to the elite levels they are used to from the past few seasons. To back that up as a team they only allowed around 250 yards for the whole game. Ja’von Hicks racked up an interception that he returned for a touchdown. Continuing the defensive excellence Jabari Taylor recovered a fumble for Cincinnati.

    Kicking Shows Promise:

While it may have been an easy game for the Bearcats and facing zero real threat to lose the game. Even with that the kicking game showed signs of improvement as Ryan Coe went 9/9 on his extra points. Just a week after missing key field goals against Arkansas.

    What’s Next For the Bearcats:

Following this game the Bearcats now take on the Miami Redhawks. The Bearcats bring a 16 game winning streak against the Redhawks into this game.
