The third-seeded Baltimore Ravens will host their archrivals, the sixth-seeded Pittsburgh Steelers, at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday night for the Super Wild Card round and the first-ever playoff game on Prime Video. This is the third time that both teams will play against each other this season, and both have won, with the home team being victorious. Currently, the Ravens are favored by 9.5 points, with an over/under of 43.5 points.
The Baltimore Ravens’ elite leading receiver suffered an injury last week
As previously discussed on Gridiron Heroics, wide receiver Zay Flowers injured his knee during the second quarter in Week 18 against the Cleveland Browns, and he did not return for the remainder of the game. Tests determined that Flowers avoided a season-ending injury but considered day-to-day. Going into the week, the Ravens were concerned that it would be a challenge for their Pro Bowl receiver to play against their archrivals on Saturday night.
Ravens’ elite Pro Bowl receiver receives a brutal injury status for the super wild card round
Since they play on Saturday, the Baltimore Ravens held practice on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Unfortunately, the star receiver wasn’t able to practice during their short week of practice. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Ravens ruled out Zay Flowers, a devastating loss of the offense.

Who serves as the WR1?
With Zay Flowers out of the lineup for the Super Wild Card round, the Baltimore Ravens must count on Rashod Bateman to be their number-one wide receiver against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bateman is also having an incredible breakout campaign, notching career highs in receiving yards and touchdowns, while for the first time in his young four-year career, he played every game this season. The breakout receiver finished 2024 with 45 receptions on 72 targets for 756 yards and nine touchdowns.
Other wide receivers the Ravens must count on include Nelson Agholor and Tylan Wallace. Agholor will play after missing Weeks 16 and 17 with a concussion and Week 18 as well. Finally, Wallace, who replaced Flowers last week, is expected to start in the slot.
