Baltimore Ravens: Team Isn’t Overly Concerned about Offensive Weapon’s Injury Sustained in Week 13

The Baltimore Ravens currently rank second in the AFC North division standings behind the Pittsburgh Steelers and sixth in the AFC Playoff Picture with an 8-5 record. They have a BYE this week, which is a golden opportunity for rest, recovery, and preparation for a playoff push. During their BYE, keep an eye out for the offensive weapon that is dealing with an injury.

The Baltimore Ravens breakout candidate exited Week 13 with an injury

Ravens’ breakout candidate wide receiver Rashod Bateman suffered an apparent knee injury during the third quarter in Week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Bateman limped off the field and missed the remainder of their loss as they later downgraded him to out. He finished the night without a reception or a target in 29 offensive snaps.

The injury isn’t considered serious

According to head coach John Harbaugh, Rashod Bateman is dealing with soreness in his knee. Harbaugh isn’t overly concerned about Bateman’s knee injury potentially being a long-term issue. He thinks the BYE week will help him a lot. He didn’t specify whether he would be available for their Week 15 game against the New York Giants, however.

“He had treatment today; it’s not a long-term thing,” Harbaugh said, via the team’s website. “A lot of guys have these kind of things late in the season. The bye week I think will really help a lot.”
