The Justin Tucker era of the Baltimore Ravens is over after the franchise decided to move on from the kicker amid sexual misconduct allegations from 16 women.
In an official statement released by the Ravens on Monday, general manager Eric DeCosta said that it has “made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker.” Without mentioning the controversy that Tucker is facing, DeCosta also shares that the Ravens “sincerely wish him [Tucker] and his family the very best in this next chapter of their lives.”
The Baltimore Ravens could soon add another kicker after team’s split with Tucker

It appeared that the writing was on the wall for the Ravens when it comes to a split with Tucker when they took kicker Tyler Loop of the Arizona Wildcats in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL draft. However, Loop could have some competition soon.
Via Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic:
“Ravens 6th-round pick Tyler Loop likely won’t be only kicker on Baltimore’s roster for long. Ravens are expected to sign former Wyoming K John Hoyland after rookie minicamp. Hoyland has been participating in the minicamp on tryout basis. He went 13-of-20 last year for Wyoming.”
Tucker has never played for an NFL team outside of the Ravens. He began his career in the league in 2012, and before he was let go, he was the last remnant of the 2012 Baltimore squad that won the Super Bowl during his first year in the NFL.
Tucker is the all-time league leader among kickers with at least 100 attempts with a career 89.1 percent success rate.
