The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 35-34 Thursday night thanks to a failed two-point conversion attempt with 38 seconds left. With the victory over the Bengals, the Ravens jump to 7-3 on the season. They remain second in the AFC North division standings and one game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Despite escaping with the victory, the Ravens’ pass defense remains a problem. Joe Burrow lit up the secondary, throwing 428 passing yards and four touchdowns. They must improve their pass defense, which ranks last in passing, to be serious contenders in the AFC.
Not only did their pass defense struggle but also their best defensive back went down early with an injury.
The Baltimore Ravens exited the first half with a scary injury
Kyle Hamilton, one of the best defenders in the league, suffered an apparent lower-leg injury on a non-contact play in the second quarter after his ankle bent awkwardly attempting to plant his right foot in coverage. Hamilton limped off the field and went directly to the medical tent. After that, he went to the locker room for further examination. He did not return for the rest of the game and was spotted wearing a walking boot on his right leg.

The injury isn’t believed to be serious
Kyle Hamilton appears to have dodged a devastating injury last night. John Harbaugh told reporters postgame that Hamilton suffered an ankle sprain and the injury isn’t serious. He didn’t specify whether he’d miss time, but he will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.
“It’s not a serious ankle [injury],” Harbaugh said. “I don’t know how long it will be, but it’s an ankle sprain.”
The Baltimore Ravens need their elite defensive back for Week 11
The Ravens have a crucial Week 11 matchup against their divisional rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ravens need to be on their A-game against the Steelers since both games could ultimately decide the winner of the AFC North. Not only could these two games decide their division, but also seeding in the AFC Playoff Picture.
Since Kyle Hamilton has an extra four days for his ankle to heal, he could have a chance to play next week. It’s too early to tell if that’s possible, but we will update you once we have more information regarding his availability for Week 11. They cannot afford for him to miss time.
