John Harbaugh is already 62 years old, but he’s still going strong, literally and figuratively. A video of the long-time Baltimore Ravens head coach doing work in the gym has gone viral, as it shows him lifting some serious weight.
According to the caption on the video, Harbaugh was squatting a total of 405 pounds “with ease.”
Coaching in the NFL isn’t exactly a physically demanding job, but it still does put stress on one’s body — and mind. Having coached the Ravens since the 2008 season has taken Harbaugh to the highest of highs and lowest of lows of the job, and keeping a healthy body must help make the job easier for him.
Baltimore is also about to start its training camp for the 2025 NFL season this coming July, so Harbaugh is also, in a way, setting an example for his team about being prepared for the upcoming campaign.
In 2024, the Ravens won 12 games but failed to advance past the AFC Divisional Round, as they lost to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs.

Fans react to Baltimore Ravens head coach’s gym work

The video of Harbaugh squatting 405 pounds has gained plenty of attention on social media, garnering all sorts of reactions from the fans.
“He’s doing a Hatfield squat which most people can lift 10% to 25% more than a normal squat. The poundage is still impressive for a man of his age and size.”
“405, nice form too.”
“Good for him! Also: I don’t think those straps would save him. 😬”
“Still doing it big “
“Coach out here lifting like it’s 4th and goal every rep 💪🔥”
“WHAT A COMPETITOR!!!”
