Heading into the upcoming 2025 NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens appear to be one of the top contenders in the AFC. Last season, the team was a legitimate contender, but came up short in the Divisional Round of the AFC playoffs against the Buffalo Bills.
On the outside looking in, the team looks to be in a great place from a roster perspective. However, with hopeful championship contenders, quality depth is always necessary.
With that in mind, the Ravens could be a team in the market for a move or two before the start of the regular season. Adding another running back behind Derrick Henry could make sense for Baltimore.
One potential option has been named as a possible trade target.

Cody Williams of FanSided has taken a look at six players and where they could be traded. He has the Ravens listed as the projected trade destination for Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne.
“No one is going to reasonably say that Derrick Henry isn’t the workhorse in Baltimore. But while the Dallas Cowboys have been a popular trade connection for Etienne, the Ravens might actually make more sense,” Williams wrote.
“Behind Henry is Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell, both of whom have struggled to stay healthy and, frankly, who do what Etienne offers but slightly less reliably. The former first-rounder being the lightning behind Henry could make the Lamar Jackson-led offense even more dangerously dynamic.”
During the 2024 NFL season with the Jaguars, Etienne played in 15 games. He carried the football 150 times for 558 yards and two touchdowns, while also catching 39 passes for 254 yards.
Since being selected with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Etienne has not lived up to his potential. Perhaps a change of scenery could help him get things jumpstarted.
While he would not be the starter with Baltimore, Etienne could help take some of the work off of Henry’s shoulders. He would also provide Lamar Jackson with a legitimate dual-threat running back.
It’s just an idea, but a Ravens trade for Etienne would make a lot of sense as the team gears up for a hopeful championship run.
